What We Do

Send-A-Kid-To-Camp Program
Every year we raise money to send children in the Richmond area to summer camp and after-school programs. We are committed to ensuring that our children are given the opportunity to thrive and be successful in life
Prison & Criminal Justice Reform Advocacy
We advocate for prison and criminal justice reform on both state and federal levels by engaging our political leaders diplomatically
ExhaleNg Initiative (Africa Footprint Initiative)
As part of our Africa Footprint Initiative, we support and sponsor ExhaleNg Initiative, a grassroots organization in Lagos, Nigeria founded by Ms. Eniola Akinyemi. ExhaleNg is engaged in community and educational services that benefit economically disadvantaged children and women
PSAs (Public Service Announcement)
Our public service announcements are the voices of prisoners broadcast to promote public safety. With the support of the Virginia Department of Corrections, we broadcast PSAs on Radio One stations in the Central Virginia area and online as a deterrent to criminal behaviors and to promote public safety.
Yearly Teen Summit
We host a yearly teen summit in Richmond that is geared towards keeping our children out of prison for life. The summit is a yearly opportunity to gather our children together and feed them nuggets of wisdom to keep them safe and successful
Mind-Your-Mind Peace Park
Because we care about our global family, we built and continue to maintain a park in rural Nigeria for the purpose of promoting self-care and mental health in that part of the world
Housing (Clo's House)
In partnership with the Virginia Department of Corrections, we provide emergency housing for men returning home from incarceration for the purpose of preventing homelessness and promoting public safety. We also extend our housing services to include housing for other homeless members of our community. Our houses are called Clo's House.
Barbershop Talk-One Community of Recovery
We hold a monthly Barbershop Talk to bring awareness to a myriad of issues affecting the community. In particular we use this forum to give voice and assistance to those impacted by mental health and substance use disorders. This forum also presents an opportunity for our political and community leaders to address different issues of importance to the community.
Peer-Support Group Meetings
We are trained peer support specialists and offer scholarships for peer support training to our returning citizens. Every Saturday morning we offer peer support group meetings at one of our Clo's Houses. This provides an outlet for our returning citizens and members of the community who need or value peer support
Community Engagement
We collaborate with law enforcement, local and state officials, and community leaders to promote public safety and bring relief to the poor. As part of this, we give out donations to help members of the community in need.
